250 MB flat rate mobile Internet in Turkey INCLUDED

250 MB of flat rate Internet data (30 days validity) is included in the start package, which is more than enough for most travellers. Say goodbye to arbitrary per MB fees.

If you rather need a 4GB data usage Internet package in 3G speed, it just costs 25 TL (approx. £9) extra and is easily activate with a quick text message. The 25 TL charge is deducted from your call balance. Just make sure your have enough credit on your balance.

The Turkish SIM Card can be used as a data SIM card in a dongle, ipad/tablet, MIFI-router or used for tethering with laptop.

Calls between two travellers in Turkey using HolidayPhone

The rate for calls between two travellers using HolidayPhone equals that of local calls as stated above (i.e. around 3,5p/min).

As a comparison, it could cost you up to £5/minute to make calls between two British cellphones if you don't use HolidayPhone in Turkey. The international roaming charges at both ends mean that the caller and receiver both end up paying astronomical charges for the call. It only takes a couple of minutes to regain the cost of your HolidayPhone kits if you're both using HolidayPhone, paying just 3,5p/minute!

If you are travelling in a party, we recommend that you order HolidayPhone for all travellers, so that you can make cheap calls between each other on your trip. To achieve this, just dial the local Turkish mobile phone number provided with the SIM.

Call balance and topping up

Our SIM cards is delivered pre-topped up with 4 TL call balance. We recommend that you buy some additional top up credit with your HolidayPhone order.

If you need additional top up while in Turkey, you can buy top-up vouchers in kiosks and supermarkets across Turkey.

The SIM card is valid for 30 days after the most recent top up.

If you plan to stay in Turkey for a longer period, it may be required after about 15 days that the phone is registered for continued usage in Turkey. This procedure takes only about 5 minutes and can be done in any Turkcell service center store.

Calling UK from Turkey using HolidayPhone SIM card

When calling home using your HolidayPhone SIM card, just dial +44 without the leading zero of the area code. For example: 07511 223344 becomes +44 7511 223344.

Receive calls in Turkey

You receive inbound calls dialled to your British mobile phone number just as usual as all calls are seamlessly forwarded from UK to your Turkish SIM card without any expensive roaming charges.

The standard HolidayPhone package includes 3 hours of forwarded calls from UK, but you can easily add more at a low cost when ordering.

We take care of SIM Card registration for you

According to country specific regulations the operator requires that a photo copy of your passport is attached in order for them to activate your SIM card. An image upload URL is attached in your order confirmation e-mail.

Once received, we will pass it on to the operator. We will not use it for any other purpose. As soon as your SIM card is activated, the passport image is removed from our system.

We take care of, and process the SIM Card registration for you, so that the SIM card you receive from us is registered and ready to use when you arrive.
